Meet Dr. Sheela Kudchadker

Dr. Sheela Kudchadker is a Board Certified Orthodontist with over 25 years experience. She is a licensed specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics who has been operating her practice for over 19 years. Dr. Kudchadker earned her degree in dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School, the world's first dental school. She graduated top five in her class, with high honors (magna cum laude), receiving numerous awards on graduation including the Outstanding Student in Orthodontics Award and the Outstanding Student in Pediatric Dentistry Award. Induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an elite honorary dental society, was bestowed upon Dr. Kudchadker immediately upon eligibility. Following dental school, Dr. Kudchadker completed a three-year residency program to specialize in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During her residency program, Dr. Kudchadker also obtained her Master's Degree in Oral Biology from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in New Jersey, to further enhance her knowledge of the complex inter-relationship of the teeth, jaws and soft tissues. She continues to stay on top of all orthodontic and dental related scientific findings by attending the latest meetings throughout the country.
Dr. Kudchadker is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Association, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. She was honored as Houston's Top Orthodontist. Furthermore, Dr. Kudchadker is enrolled in the Spear Education and Study Club which "provides dental continuing education for striving dentists that are dedicated to the pursuit of clinical excellence in dentistry".
Dr. Kudchadker lives in Pearland with her husband and their two children. She grew up in Maryland and graduated with honors from Archbishop Keough High School, an all-girls Catholic school. In 2000, Dr. Kudchadker moved to Houston where her husband holds a faculty position at MD Anderson Cancer Center. On her days away from the office, Dr. Kudchadker is involved with continuing education and her commitment to her profession. Dr. Kudchadker and her family are strong supporters of various charitable activities in her community. She is also a member of the MD Anderson Cancer Center Family/Friends Organization. Her hobbies include traveling, baking, cooking a variety of culinary cuisine, shopping and reading. What makes Dr. Kudchadker such a wonderful orthodontist is her genuine fun, outgoing, and caring personality.
